How LinkedIn Replaced Social Media in My Life (part 2)

It has been three years since I made the decision to quit social media and it has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my mental health and overall well-being. However, this decision did not mean that I cut myself off from the virtual world completely. I found a new platform that suited my professional needs and personal values – LinkedIn.

LinkedIn is a social media platform that is specifically designed for professional networking and job searching. Unlike other social media platforms, LinkedIn encourages its users to showcase their professional achievements, share industry insights, and connect with like-minded professionals. As someone who values self-growth and personal development, I found LinkedIn to be the perfect platform for me.

Ever since I joined LinkedIn in 2013, I’ve been able to leverage the platform to connect with professionals from various industries, attend online webinars and workshops, and even secure a job opportunity. Though I wasn’t as active at first, it wasn’t until 2016 when I really began to explore what LinkedIn had to offer.

Since then, LinkedIn has become an essential tool in my professional development, providing me with a platform to express myself and connect with individuals who share similar values and interests. Through my activity on the platform, I’ve been able to build meaningful relationships with like-minded professionals and gain valuable insights into different industries and career paths.

Moreover, unlike other social media platforms that focus on likes, comments, and followers, LinkedIn’s algorithm prioritizes meaningful interactions and content that provides value to its users. This means that the content I share on LinkedIn is more likely to be seen by individuals who are genuinely interested in it and can provide valuable insights and feedback.

Of course, like any other social media platform, LinkedIn has its downsides. It can be easy to fall into the trap of comparison and self-doubt when seeing the achievements of others. However, I have found that by focusing on my own growth and development, and using LinkedIn as a tool for learning and connection, I have been able to avoid the negative aspects of social media and use it for my personal and professional growth.

In conclusion, quitting social media was a necessary step for my mental health and overall well-being. However, by finding a platform that aligned with my personal and professional values, I was able to continue my virtual presence without sacrificing my mental health. LinkedIn has provided me with a platform to express myself professionally, connect with like-minded individuals, and grow both personally and professionally.

I would love to connect with you on LinkedIn and expand our professional networks. Please feel free to connect with me through my profile link at http://linkedin.com/in/rindahadiana. Looking forward to connecting and exploring potential opportunities together!
