The Car I Bought for Myself and Everything It Taught Me

I’ve always imagined having a car that truly fits me. Spacious and comfortable because I love driving, practical enough to be just the right size, not too big and not too small, and packed with modern technology features that make life easier and more enjoyable. I also wanted a car that is not too mainstream on the street, a car that feels uniquely me. But getting here was not instant. I spent months researching, watching countless YouTube videos, reading article after article, comparing specs, test-driving options, and weighing every possibility. I had to be patient because I refused to rush into just any car. I wanted the right one, not the fastest choice.

It was not easy. Some options looked tempting at first but did not meet all the boxes: space, comfort, practicality, tech, and uniqueness. I made lists, tracked prices, debated pros and cons, and sometimes walked away when it did not feel right.

My budget grew unexpectedly, and to cover it, I even had to sell my gold bar savings. It was a bold and personal decision, a mix of sacrifice and determination that made the impossible feel possible. I was lucky to have someone to discuss options with, helping me sort the good from the bad until the very end. Their advice mattered, but the final choice was mine.

I knew I needed a red car because it was so me. The second option was white, but of course, I got it in beautiful red. Looking back, I named it Redhot after the band Red Hot Chili Peppers. The universe was so kind, and the process was smooth. From the negotiation, the handover which even required me to go out of town, to drawing my money to purchase such a significant amount, everything fell into place at the right time. It was like the universe was whispering, “This is it, this is the time for you, Reen.

No one even knew I bought the car, not even my mom. She only found out when she saw it parked in my garage at midnight, after I drove it home with my partner and the guy who helped me sort everything out. My partner only knew the night before when I called him and told him he had to come with me out of town by train. No complaints, no questions, just full trust and support. That moment, quiet, surprising, and completely mine, was priceless.

I know this story might sound almost too good to be true. Behind the scenes, there were so many factors, events, and even underlying drama that led to this moment. But when I first walked in and signed the papers, when it was completely mine, I looked at the car and said to myself and to the universe:

I bought this car to grow me better, to reach my dream house, to gain benefit and give benefit to others, and to bring joy and abundance, not only to me but to the people around me. This is a new life, a life to grow better and better. This is just a little step to something greater in my life.

Dear Reen,

Well done. Thank you for your patience, your courage, and your trust in yourself. Thank you for making decisions that honor your growth, for believing in abundance, and for creating something beautiful entirely on your own terms. This car, this journey, and this moment are yours, and you earned every bit of it. Keep shining, keep growing, and keep trusting that the universe is always guiding you toward what is meant for you.

With love,

Me ~ Reendiana
